Countdown to Kitty Hawk at Dearborn, MI

Sunny weather followed EAA’s Countdown to Kitty Hawk Pavilion on its tour stop at the Ford Centennial Celebration in Dearborn, MI. EAA members were given the chance to sign into a member log book. Detailed instructions came from an EAA volunteer on how to fly “Microsoft’s Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight”.
A newly added information desk inside the pavilion became a busy place to ask questions and get answers on everything from “What is EAA?” to “How can I be in Kitty Hawk for December 17?” EAA volunteer, Jim Casper, explains to guests the details of a reproduction Wright Brothers wind tunnel.

Three Dearborn actors helped give EAA’s Countdown to Kitty Hawk Pavilion a true feeling of historical re-creation.

Careful examination was given by guests to details on reproduced Wright Brother’s documents given by the Library of Congress to be housed in the pavilion.
