Countdown to Kitty Hawk at Sun 'n Fun
  
The Countdown to Kitty Hawk pavilion debuted at Sun 'n Fun 2003 to an enthusiastic crowd.

The Eclipse Aviation Gallery displayed the top 10 Greatest Aviation Innovations. Guests voted on which innovation should be number one! You can vote online as well.

Two Lakeland, Florida, actors performed a production entitled "What's Wright With Flight!" on the pavilion main stage. The play taught the audience about the mechanics of flight and how the Wright brothers got their plane in the air.

EAA's 1903 Wright Flyer reproduction was the centerpiece of the pavilion. This is the most accurate reproduction of the '03 Flyer ever created and was produced after thousands of hours of research and hard work by many different people and organizations.

Amanda Wright Lane, great-grandniece of Orville and Wilbur Wright, gave many presentations at Sun 'n Fun. She retold family stories and gave insight into the carefully guarded private lives of the famous brothers.

National Park Ranger Darrell Collins employee at Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, gave pavilion audiences a stirring overview of the Wright brothers' accomplishments and explained what lead up to that first powered flight.
